Frequently Asked Questions

Question: How do I get started?

Answer: Complete the form on the Contact Us page and email us. We will contact you and schedule a meeting. Prior to the first meeting you will receive a short questionnaire asking questions about your program and project goals. Once your questionnaire is completed email it back to us prior to our first meeting.

Question: How do you find your actors and what is their background?

Answer: Our actors are handpicked by our SimSource staff. Many of them have been working in simulation for many years and bring extensive experience to their work. The majority of our simulation actors are either professional actors or educators.

Question: What is the cost involved with creating a project?

Answer: Because each simulation project is never exactly the same the cost varies depending on the number of individuals (learners) participating and the number of scenarios you wish to use. Cost proposals for each project are done within days of the consultation meeting.

Question: How long does it take to get a project up and running?

Answer: The number of scenarios, actors and learners influences how long it will take to get a project up and running. It can take as little as two weeks for small projects or four to six weeks for larger multi-scenario projects. Your project timeline will be discussed in our initial meeting.

Question: What if I just need one actor for a small project?

Answer: Not a problem. We can provide one actor for small projects or 10 actors for multiple scenario projects. There is no project that is too small or too large. That is why simulation is a great tool in training and assessment. You can make it as large or as small as you want it to be.
